PRC is an established scientific institution
located
in Tajora east of Tripoli in front of Al-Andulsi tourist
village. The center was established in 1999 to be highly
specialized institution in the research field of polymer science
and technology.
The research center brings together researchers and will create
a knowledge-base that can assist further development in
activities related to the science and technology of polymers.
The general aim is to be the center of reference in the field of
polymer science and polymer technology in Libya, and expanding
the research for both academic and industrial purposes.

Objectives of Center :

To produce human resources and
expertise in the field of polymer science and polymer
technology.

To provide
training and consultation in instrumentation, analysis
and testing of plastics and polymers for both private
and public sectors.

Networking locally and
internationally
to strengthen
and expand research in the field of polymer science and
polymer processing.

Assisting to
establish of Libyan specifications for polymeric and
plastic products in Libya by collaboration with other
local and international research institutions.

To raise
awareness on plastic waste and its potential threat on
the environment.

Finding
suitable solutions for the disposable of plastic
materials and the potential reuse including recycling.
